Supporters Choose the BRISA Badge
As part of its launch, the Bristol Rovers Independent Supporters Association (BRISA) has taken a supporter‑first approach to creating its official badge, putting the decision directly into the hands of Gasheads.
The voting process began with an open first round, inviting feedback and votes from across the wider Bristol Rovers fanbase. Supporters were encouraged to have their say via popular online spaces including forums, X and Facebook, ensuring broad visibility and engagement from day one.
Following that initial public round, the process moved into a members‑only vote, giving those who had formally joined BRISA the final say on the association’s identity. This two‑stage approach struck a balance between openness and member ownership, reflecting BRISA’s commitment to inclusivity while ensuring that key decisions ultimately rest with its membership.
The badge vote is a clear example of how BRISA intends to operate: transparent, democratic and shaped by supporters themselves. With members choosing the symbol that will represent the association going forward, it marks an important first step in building a truly supporter‑led organisation.
